KMA Supports National Prayer and Thanksgiving Program

The Public Relations Officer for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Henrietta Konadu Aboagye, has reiterated the city Mayor’s support for the upcoming National Prayer and Thanksgiving Program. Speaking on behalf of Mayor Hon. Richard Ofori Agyeman Boadi, she expressed delight at the initiative’s inclusivity of members from all religious faiths.

A Show of Support.

The Mayor’s support for the program was evident when the leadership of the Kumasi Council of Christian Churches (KCCC) and the Muslim community paid a courtesy call on him to discuss the event. The National Prayer and Thanksgiving Program is scheduled to take place on July 1, 2024.

Regional Events.

In the Ashanti region, the program will be held at two separate locations. The Christian Prayer and Thanksgiving Service will take place at the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), behind the Tech Police Station, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. The Islamic Prayers and Thanksgiving Service will be held at the Kumasi Central Mosque at 12:30 pm.

A Call for Prayer
The City Mayor has pleaded for prayers for Ghanaian youth and those entrusted with national duty. Henrietta Konadu Aboagye emphasized the Mayor’s commitment to the well-being of the nation’s youth and leaders.

Media Engagement.

The media engagement was hosted by the leadership of the Kumasi Council of Christian Churches (KCCC). The representative of the Ashanti Regional Minister, Emmanuel Opoku, was also present at the meeting.

The KMA’s support for the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Program underscores the importance of faith and unity in promoting national development.
