The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appointed the Member of Parliament for Nsuta Kwamang Beposo, Adelaide Ntim, as Co-Chair of the Party’s Gender and Social Protection Committee as part of preparations toward the 2028 General Elections.
The appointment was announced following a meeting of the Party’s National Executive Committee and National Council held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, where several Standing and Sector Committees were constituted in accordance with provisions of the NPP Constitution.
According to the Party, the Standing Committees were established pursuant to Article 10(2)(6) of the Constitution, while the Sector Committees were constituted under Articles 10(3)(8) and 14(5), with the objective of strengthening the Party’s internal structures and policy coordination ahead of the next general elections.
Hon. Adelaide Ntim will serve alongside Dr. Susana Alo as Co-Chair of the committee. Other members of the committee include Grace Akosua Amoabeng and Akosua Manu as spokespersons, while Ama Neerquaye Tetteh will serve as Secretary.
In a statement issued by the Party, the NPP indicated that the committees are expected to deepen policy development, enhance stakeholder engagement, and reposition the Party for effective political organization and governance ahead of Election 2028.
“The Party congratulates all appointed Chairpersons, Co-Chairs, Secretaries, Spokespersons and Members, and expresses confidence in their ability to discharge their responsibilities diligently and in the supreme interest of the Party and the Republic of Ghana,” portions of the statement said.
Reacting to her appointment, Hon. Adelaide Ntim expressed appreciation to the NPP’s 2028 Flagbearer, Mahamudu Bawumia, as well as the National Executive Committee, for the confidence reposed in her.
She pledged to work closely with the committee and the Party leadership to advance the NPP’s agenda and contribute toward securing victory in the 2028 General Elections.
