Nkawie Forest District Manager Awarded for planting over one million trees in this year’s green Ghana day

The Nkawie Forest District Manager Mr Chrisantus Nifaasoyir has been commended for his outstanding performance during the recent green Ghana tree planting exercise.
The Ashanti regional Manager of forestry Mr Augestin Gyadu has handed over a 42 inches television set to him by way of award and motivation for planting over one million trees within his forest district.
Commending other district managers for their excellent performance which helped pushed the targeted four million threshold to more than six million, Mr Gyadu said this did not happen in a vacuum but by way of team work and strategies adopted by his able team members.
He gave the assurance that the needed mechanisms would be put in place to ensure that the trees are nurtured and grow for purpose.
Meanwhile the Nkawie District Manager Mr Chrisantus Nifaasoyir expressed his gratitude to management of the Ashanti regional forestry for recognizing his efforts. He also thanked the able men and women who helped implemented the laid down strategies to boost their target from 550 thousand to over one million.
